The CVDLS is a statewide system with a central reference laboratory located in Davis and four branch laboratatories
located in Fresno, Tulare, Turlock and San Bernardino. The CVDLS mission is to provide the citzens of California with
the highest quality diagnostic laboratory support services:
- Livestock and poultry disease control
- Enhancement of livestock and poultry health management
- Equine health and performance
- Recognition and dissemination of new knowledge
- Protection from diseases that can affect both animals and humans

Samba server for a network of PCs.

Print spooler using lpd (Unix, NFS clients)

Users can dial-out using a (possibly shared) shared modem.
Users can initiate PPP connections to remote systems.
