The D. Y. Patil Group
Our main area of Operation is Education. We are a large educational group based in the Indian Sub Continent. As our resorses are limited we have greatly benefitted by using Linux to set up a high speed Internet Lab for our budding engineers.
Its a hit with the students, as they themselves have set up this laboratory. Linux definitely dominates. We love it.

The D. Y. Patil Group uses Linux for the following functions:
- X-Windows terminal (display, keyboard, mouse -- applications run elsewhere)
- X-Windows server (runs applications, possibly exports display)
- Users can initiate PPP connections to remote systems.
- NetScape Navigator.
- Netscape's mail client.
